Before you do a one on one presentation in MLM you are trained to develop the skills to invite someone to see your opportunity. It is common sense that if you don't invite someone to see your product or business, the chances that they will join with you are slim to none.
Most likely the company will teach you how to invite people by using various scripts that you will learn. However, once you have mastered the skill of inviting and you have several appointments set up for your prospect to meet you one-on-one . . . then what?
You have been anticipating sharing your business with your friends and family as well as prospects that you have met recently but you're not sure how to do it. It is important that you realize showing it to them one-on-one has a greater effect on them for the following reasons:
It is important to realize that a one on one presentation is not a time for you to put all the focus on yourself and be too critical on how well you do a presentation. This is a time when you show that you really care about the person that you're showing your opportunity to. There is a saying in MLM that people don't care how much you know until they know how much you care.
When (or before) you meet with your guest one-on-one you want to gather the following information:
You gather this information and focus on the most important element that affects this person.
Then you develop a strategy to customize your prospect’s need with the benefits of the product in order to make it relevant to them.
Then you expose your prospect to the various methods (DVD, webinar, pamphlets, product samples, etc.) your company makes available.
Use these devices to give a live example of how your product can ease their fears, improve their living condition or environment and turn their passion and desires into reality
If you want to enhance your prospects awareness and improve their experience with you, share true stories with them about YOUR experience using the product. Show videos and pictures (if appropriate) of people using the product and improving their current living condition.
If they're sold on your concept, company, and product they will feel better about giving their information to you in order for you to put them in your system. People do not mind if they feel they getting something of equal or more value in return.
Meeting people one-on-one has great potential to be more effective due to the fact that you can personalize your presentation. In addition to the fact that you're in the environment of your (or their) choosing and it decreases the chances for distraction from outside sources.
Do not think that doing the above steps is too much work. Be a professional, invest the time to learn what is necessary and enjoy the process.
